This lithograph was done during a printmaking workshop. This poster is my rendition of, and homage to iconic Kannada movie posters. This particular one for Dr. Rajkumar’s ‘Operation Diamond Racket’ spy-thriller. Using various motifs from the movie such as guns, diamonds and the iconic moustache of the actor, The poster was designed by hand and then transferred on to an aluminium plate and prints were obtained. Also had the opportunity of pasting one of these on the compound of the now defunct, yet still iconic Nataraj theatre, probably where one of these was stuck back in the late 70’s when the film was released.
